About me
To my parents, photography was this particular holiday activity which involved placing us kids in front of some famous monument. The purpose was mainly to prove to the world we had actually been there. In my recollection the sun was always shining straight into our faces. Many months after the holidays, the negatives would be processed into slides and these nightmares could be relived at the holiday slideshow. My parents would then argue about any part of the picture not being in focus, and blaming the slide projector.
For me, photography changed completely when I bought my first digital camera. I got my Canon Ixus in 2004 and loved it immediatly. I could take the camera with me wherever I went. I could see the results immediately, learn, improve and share the pictures with the world. After a bit, I knew all the tricks to make this camera do what I wanted. People seeing my pictures often asked what kind of amazing camera I had. It was so much fun looking at their face when I showed them the little Ixus.
Then I bought a Rebel XTi with a much better lens. Then another lens and more gear.. In 2010 I upgraded the whole kit and I bought Canon 7D. This allowed me to start making video’s which is totally new to me but a lot of fun.
